About Me

I'm Meena, a West London photographer with a background in documentary photography and teaching. I founded Loving Memories because I believe that a farewell deserves to be remembered with the same care and respect as any other significant moment in life.

Funerals can feel overwhelming. The day often passes in a blur, and grief can make it difficult to take everything in. My role is to quietly document those moments for you, preserving the people, connections, and small details that might otherwise be forgotten.

I have photographed church services, graveside ceremonies, celebrations of life, and wakes across West London. Whatever the setting, I approach each service with sensitivity, discretion, and a calm presence, allowing families to focus on being together while I carefully capture the memories that matter.

These are the questions I'd want answered if I were in your position. So let me try to answer them honestly.

I came to funeral photography through my wider work as a photographer based in Kensington, West London. Over the years, shooting corporate events and brand work, I noticed something: the images people return to most aren't the polished ones. They're the unguarded ones. The look between two people. The hand on a shoulder. The moment someone laughs through tears.

Funerals are full of those moments. And they go by faster than anyone expects.

Families often tell me afterwards that the day felt like a blur, that they were so focused on holding themselves together, on greeting people, on simply getting through it, that they couldn't take it all in. The photographs give it back to them. Slowly, in their own time, they can see who was there. They can see the love in the room.

I approach every service the same way: quietly, respectfully, and always in the background. I use discreet equipment. I don't direct or interrupt. My job is to be almost invisible on the day, so that the images can speak when you're ready to look at them.

I work across London and am experienced photographing services of all faiths and cultural traditions, from traditional church funerals to humanist celebrations of life, from intimate graveside gatherings to large memorial services.

If you have any questions at all — about what I do, whether photography feels right for your family, or simply what to expect — please do get in touch. There's no obligation, and I'm always glad to talk it through.
